the metamorphosis collection –  close to my heart, a period that indicates growth and progress. comprising of three distinctly different silhouettes, each dress representing the different phases in my life – growth, recovery, or just a passage of time. the print is hand painted by singaporean artist, amanda from this.oneday, inspired by the beauty of autumn. her print sits on a powder pink shade that’s flattering on the skin.

“my first ever time experiencing the season was in frankfurt — the weather was cooling with a slight breeze. i was wearing my first ever puff jacket and walking in the park where leaves and petals would gracefully float off the branches, landing on the ground. by the end of the afternoon, the damp floor was littered with orange to pink maple leaves. that was the most beautiful autumn I’d ever seen.” 

what’s better than a sleeved dress? one with kimono sleeves! we used kimono style for our sleeves to create extra volume with the subtle folds of the silk fabric. we thoughtfully sourced our fabric to ensure that it felt like soft silk, but was machine washable. say hello to our fabric that’s made of cotton, rayon and silk. the wrap over v neckline is sewn to prevent peekaboos, and we switched it to blind stitching (vs the one shown in the images) so it’s cleaner and more elegant. with a center split added, we curved the hemlines to add a softer touch to ankles. the end result is a complimenting silhouette that subtly caresses the right areas. it is fully lined with a fabric button closure at the back.
